A few weeks ago Peter
Richarz, Member of the EuroZone Standing Committee for Development,
and Coach of the German National Women's team, held a development
clinic in Chisinau, Moldova.
Moldova situated North East
of Romania is one of the poorest nations in Europe.
The populations is about 4.500.000 of which 15.0001 are registered as
disabled. 35.000 disabled living in the capital Chisinau.
Peter reported that there is
a lack of everything, like wheelchairs, basketballs, other materials
like sports clothing etc. But also they face many problems regarding
transport from home to the sports hall and return.
What can we do in Western Europe to assist these people in the
development of our game.
