Dates for World
Championships 2006
confirmed
IWBF President Maureen Orchard joined Ron Coppenrath at a meeting with
the Host Committee of the Amsterdam Gold Cup on her way to IPC Sports
Council meetings in August. At that time Hans Gootjes, Secretary
General of the Netherlands Basketball Bond confirmed the dates for the
tournament. The Men's teams will arrive July 3 and depart 16. The
women will arrive July 5 and depart July 16 Opening ceremonies and day
one for the men will be July 6 with the women beginning competitions
on July 7
