New members in IWBF Europe Executive
Committee
As Fernando Zappille,
the IWBF Europe Treasurer resigned as of the beginning of
October on his own request, the Executive Committee had the
difficult task to find a successor.
The Committee is pleased
to inform you that we have found in Antonella Frabetti from
Italy, a person who is willing to become our Treasurer.
Antonella will be our first woman in the IWBF Europe history to
serve on the Executive.
The Executive would like
to thank Fernando Zappile for the work he has done during the
past years for our Executive Committee, and we are looking
forward to meeting Fernando again during the EuroCup rounds and
or Championships, as he continues as an IWBF Europe
Commissioner.
Further the Executive
Committee appointed two new Members-at-Large at our last
meeting, held 30-31 October in Rome, Italy.
These are two well known
persons in the wheelchair basketball scene, namely Mr Ulf
Mehrens from Germany and Walter Pfaller from Austria.
At the coming IWBF
Europe Congress to be held during the European Championships for
Men in Paris, France the NOWBs have to ratify the new Executive
members.
