European
Championships 2007 in Wetzlar (Germany)
The
Executive Committee of IWBF Europe is proud to inform you that
it decided on April 2nd, 2005 to award the European
Championships for Men and Women in 2007 to Wetzlar, Germany.
Wetzlar is the home field of RSV Lahn-Dill, which won the
European Champions Cup in 2004 in Madrid. It is 80 km from
Frankfurt.
IWBF Europe had a very difficult choice to make. There were two
excellent bids, one from Birmingham and the other from Wetzlar.
Both bids were way above our regular standards and we are
seriously expecting the best organisation, media coverage and
spectators ever.
We
welcome very much the work that both the German and British
federations have put into the bid and their excellent
presentations in the Executive Committee.
The European Championships will be held from 22 August to 4
September 2007.
