2020 Season’s Greetings

Dear basketball family!

Dear basketball family!

A very difficult year 2020 is ending. A year like this one we never imagined. We were looking forward to a wonderful Paralympic year, we were looking forward to Tokyo 2020, we were looking forward to exciting competitions in the national leagues, and we were looking forward to interesting international games in the European competitions. Many of us have dreamed of victory and some of us have dreamed of Paralympic medals.
Then Corona virus came, and nobody could imagine what effects on our health and what restrictions would come.
We were forced to cancel our most important European competitions at club level as well as those of the national team.
Even with postponements like the European U23 World qualifiers or Division B European championships, we were not successful.
Now we hope for the second half of 2021, we hope and look forward to an exciting game in the finals of the European competitions, to an exciting European U23 World qualifiers in Lignano and a successful Division B European Championship in Greece.
We are looking forward to the Highlight Paralympics in Tokyo, where I wish to the European teams a lot of success and medals.

I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and all the best and good health for 2021. Wish you a year without Corona virus, without stress and with many wonderful moments and impressions.
Another great wish is that we will soon be able to move freely in Europe in the world again and we can meet our friends again. I hope to see you again soon at the court and can play wheelchair basketball without restrictions.
