Division A awarded to Bosnia & Herzegovina
Save the date – October 2025
IWBF Europe has the pleasure to announce that the 27th European Championship Men and the 19th European Championship Women has been awarded to the National Wheelchair Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The competition will take place as a combined event on 7-19 October 2025 in Sarajevo (BIH)
Walter Pfaller, IWBF Europe President, said “we understand that a European Championship in October will not be convenient for many Club Teams and it is regrettable that we had no alternative other than to arrange our premium product – the European Championships A Division – in this month in 2025.
We hope that, with a year of planning, National Leagues can accommodate this unusual situation and that our Clubs can also plan and prepare. We enjoy good relationships with some of the best Clubs in the World here in our European Zone, and we are grateful to all Clubs and Players for their understanding and support.”
