Defined the quarter finals at ECMB 2021
In the last day of preliminary rounds, Lithuania and Latvia confirm their places at the top of their group, winning all the games until now. Great games also for Austria and Russia, who achieved their second and first victory respectively.
SERBIA – AUSTRIA 56-71
The day started with a point-to-point 15 minutes between Serbia and Austria. Austria takes the lead in the last minutes of the first half, closing it at 25-35. Austria keeps increasing the distance from the opponent in the third quarter, building a comfortable gap of 23 points. The last quarter is closed by Serbia with a partial of 21-13, which allows them to reduce the gap from the Austrian team. With a final score of 56-71, Austria gets its second victory at the European Championship Men – Division B.

CROATIA – LITHUANIA 69-76
Croatia starts the game with a 6-0 scored in the first two minutes of the game and reaches a score of 11-4 in the next minute. In the last six minutes of the first period, Lithuania takes the lead and turns the game. It follows a poin-to-point game, with a tie halfway in the second period. With partials of 21-25 and 14-14, the first half of the game is set at 35-39. The third quarter goes on point-to-point and in the last one Lithuania is able to create a gap of 12 points, which is successively reduced by Croatia. Closing the game at 69-76, Lithuania secures its third victory, confirming its place at the top of the group B.

GREECE – RUSSIA 57-71
Russia builds a gap right away, reaching a score of 0-14 six minutes from the beginning of the game. Greece starts counterattacking the opponent, who is able to keep the gained advantage. The second half starts with a score of 25-36. In the third quarter, Greece is able to reduce the gap to 4, but Russia responds right away and brings it back to 17 points. One 2-points shot and a free throw by Greece and the final score is set at 57-71.

LATVIA – BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA 85-74
Bosnia & Herzegovina starts the game with a gap of 6 point, which is soon diminished by the Latvian players, leading to a first partial of 17-19. The second half is characterized by a point-to-point game, in which Latvia is able to gain a small advantage of 2 points, which is soon brought back to a tie. To every point made by Bosnia & Herzegovina, Latvia responds with another shot made. In the last two minutes, Bosnia & Herzegovina is able to gain some advantage and closes the first half at 33-39. The third period is dominated by Latvia, who turns the game with a partial of 32-17 and creates a 9 points gap. With a final partial of 20-18, Latvia closes the game at 85-74 and confirms itself at the top of group A.
