Paralympics Women: It’s Gold for the Netherlands!

Congratulations to the Women national team of the Netherlands for winning the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Games!

The European, World and now Paralympic champions represented the European zone in the final match against China in the evening game on the penultimate day of the wheelchair basketball competition.

In the preliminary round, the Netherlands won against the USA, Algeria, and Spain, and lost only one game against China (45-38). In the quarter-final, they faced Japan closing the game 82-24. Successively, in the semi-final, they won against Germany 42-52 and got access to the final game, where they had to face China again. With a final score of 50-31, the Netherlands was crowned Paralympic champion. Top scorer of the game was Bo Kramer with 15 points.
