The EuroCup 2025 Registrations Are Open!

Host an event and/or participate in the next EuroCup. Register your club before 31 July 2024

IWBF Europe is pleased to invite clubs to enter EuroCup 2025 and to to make a bid to host one of the rounds of the competition.

The EuroCup 2025 allocations will be made based on the current Ranking of Clubs which have been updated following EuroCup 2024 and are also included with this letter. Ranking points are calculated based on the results of EuroCup 2024, 2023 and 2019 (because the Covid pandemic prevented ranking points being awarded in 2020, 2021 and 2022).

Any Club may request a Wildcard before 1st September 2024. The Wildcard can be used by a club to request placement in higher or lower division of the Group Stages than their ranking. The Competitions Commission will consider all wild card requests and their decision will be final. There is no longer a limit on the number of Wild Cards that can be awarded.

IWBF Europe Competitions Commission has made some small but important changes which come into effect in EuroCup 2025 – specifically these affect Team Statements. EuroCup 2025 will operate according to the Manual of Regulations for the conduct of Wheelchair Basketball Club Cup Competitions in Europe August 2023 version 2, available to download on the IWBF Europe website.

• The Competitions Commission have changed the date when Team Statements must be submitted to IWBF Europe. For EuroCup 2025 Team Statements must be submitted no later than 1st January 2025 and cannot be changed after this date for any reason.
• Due to the change in classification process, there is no longer a requirement for time to be set aside for classification on the Friday morning before games start in the Group Stages and Finals. Therefore, to allow that the games finish earlier in the evening, the Competitions Commission has changed the time of games on the Friday to 10:00 / 12:15 / 14:30 / 16:45 and 19:00 in the Group Stages and Finals.
